Once a year we like to clear out any Baking Oven Steel™ that was deemed not good enough to be sold as a 5 star product to our Consumers.
Let me explain. On Amazon each steel has to be 100% perfect to avoid a negative review or a return, these are bad. During the manufacturing process we have to purchase large sheets of material 5' x 10 feet at a time. We then proceed to cut the steel into the various sizes we need. On this massive plate there could be sections that have a blemish, like a scratch of non homogeneous looking material, but hey steel is steel.
Plus when you are the largest manufacturer of Canada's best Baking Oven Steel™ you will likely run into a few not so perfect steels when you produce roughly 2000 Baking Oven Steels™ per year.
The big issue is - when you buy a full 8'x4' sheet or 5 sheets of raw prime steel you cannot see between them and you get what you get. Once cut they are inspected and sorted but now the pieces are too small to re cut or re purpose, so we are offering them at a discount to avoid simply throwing them away.
All the steel have been had worked and sandblasted free of mill scale. Any dents or scratched have been buffed out and the steel is still perfect, flat and ready to season.

Once seasoned these imperfections will vanish and the food or Pizza will never know , neither will your guests or neighbor's.
